About Me
Dorota Smolarczyk Tass
MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy
I am passionate about self-discovery and enjoy supporting my clients on their journey of exploration of their potential in developing important skills that empower the client’s ability to deal with difficulties or achieve the knowledge that will lead to happiness and life satisfaction.
I believe every one of my clients should be treated with dignity and respect.
In my work I use an integrative approach combining various elements from different theoretical models that, I choose to suit best for the client. Every person is unique, has different needs, personal characteristics, experiences and spiritual beliefs, so I think there is no single therapy that suits every client distinguishing their situation.
My goal is to provide an empathic, non-judgmental, safe and supportive approach with patience, understanding and positive regards, tailoring the therapy individually for the client to meet specific needs and to build trustful therapeutic relationship.
The range of modalities in my approach include Person Centered theory, Psychoanalytic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness.
I have experience working with clients dealing with depression, stress, trauma, addiction, low self-esteem, anxiety and working on personal development.
I have completed a master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy in Irish College of Humanities and Applied Sciences in Limerick. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Poland.
